Gentle Chiropractic Care
Expertise you can trust
Our Chiropractors provide gentle and effective treatments for a wide range of conditions ranging from longstanding chronic pain to sudden onset injuries
Our approach to Chiropractic therapy starts with a careful assessment of your chief complaint as well as an appraisal of your overall health. We then create a treatment protocol designed to effectively bring you to a painfree state as we begin your recovery and healing process.
Depending on a variety of factors such as age, past injuries and inactivity or trauma, your treatments typically involve the gentle manipulation of the vertebrae using specialized Chiropractic tables along with the use of Physiotherapy modalities including heat and ice, as well as stretching and mobilization techniques to realign your spine and increase overall movement.
We treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions using non-invasive techniques that utilize the latest Chiropractic and physiotherapy equipment, procedures and modalities.
Frequent conditions for which patients seek our expertise include:
- Pinched Nerve – A pinched nerve occurs when a nerve root gets trapped between the vertebrae in your spine. Pinched nerves can occur anywhere in the spine, including the neck (cervical spine), the upper back (the thoracic spine), and the lower back (lumbar spine). A pinched nerve can cause intense pain and interfere with your normal activities
- Disc Injuries – Injuries to the intervertebral discs, the soft tissue “spacers” that sit between each spinal vertebrae, occur when one or more of the rubbery discs get damaged. Discs can herniate, which means that the exterior disc shell develops a small tear and the disc interior gel starts leaking out. Another example is a bulging disc wherein the disc’s contents push their way into its outer shell. Disc injuries can happen anywhere in your spine, with the neck and low back being the most common areas
- Degeneration – Degenerative changes in our joints typically occur due to wear-and-tear over the years. Cartilage can start to wear down in the joint capsule, boney surfaces can start to deform due to lack of movement and inflexibility, and intervertebral discs can shrink over time leaving less cushion between vertebrae. The result of these degenerative processes may cause pain and numbness among other symptoms
- Sports Injuries – Sports injuries can cause pain and leave you sidelined permanently if you don’t heal and rehabilitate properly. Dr. Larinde, DC, treats a wide variety of sports injuries, such as sprains and strains, using physiotherapy techniques and soft tissue manipulation
